Everything you need to know about joining Minecraft Bedrock servers on console with Bedrock United.
How do I join Bedrock United?
On Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, open Minecraft Bedrock Edition, go to the Friends tab and add the gamertag BedrockJoiner1. It accepts you back automatically, then shows online with a joinable game. Select it to enter the lobby, walk to the server you want and step through the portal.
On PC or mobile you can also add the server directly with IP play.bedrockunited.net and port 19132. Both ways lead to the same lobby.
What gamertag do I add?
Add BedrockJoiner1 in the Friends tab of Minecraft Bedrock Edition. That single account is your way into the Bedrock United lobby, and from there you can reach every server.
If the friend request does not seem to connect, double check the spelling and try again in a minute.
Can I join with a server IP address?
Yes, on PC and mobile. Windows 10 and 11, iOS and Android have an Add Server button, so you can join Bedrock United directly:
- open the Servers tab and choose Add Server
- enter the address play.bedrockunited.net
- enter the port 19132
- save, then join
On Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch there is no Add Server button, so add the gamertag BedrockJoiner1 as a friend instead. Either way you land in the same lobby and can reach True Bedrock Anarchy, MCPE Tiers, One Block and more.
Do I still need a realm code?
No. We no longer use realm codes. The only step now is adding BedrockJoiner1 as a friend and joining its game from your Friends list.
Can I join any Bedrock server through Bedrock United?
Yes. Once you are in the lobby you can:
- join the servers we run, like the anarchy world, the PvP arenas and One Block
- enter a custom server address to reach almost any Bedrock server
- save your favourites and jump back into them any time
Does it work on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch?
Yes. It works on every Bedrock Edition platform:
- Xbox (Xbox One and Series X or S)
- PlayStation (PS4 and PS5)
- Nintendo Switch
- Mobile (iOS and Android)
- Windows 10 and 11 (Bedrock Edition)
As long as you are on Bedrock Edition, adding the friend works the same way.
Can Java Edition players join?
No. Bedrock United is only for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Java and Bedrock are separate versions and cannot connect to each other. On PC, make sure you are running the Bedrock version for Windows 10 and 11.
Is Bedrock United free?
Yes. It is completely free. There are no fees, subscriptions or paid features. Add the friend and play.
Why can consoles not add servers directly?
Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions of Minecraft Bedrock have no built in Add Server button. Bedrock United gets around this with a friend account that appears as a joinable game, so console players can reach any server through the lobby.
Is Bedrock United safe and legitimate?
Yes. You join through Minecraft's own friends system, and the servers we run are moderated for quality and safety. We do not ask for downloads, account details or personal data. Just add the friend and play.
I cannot connect. What should I do?
Try these steps:
- make sure you are on Bedrock Edition, not Java
- check the gamertag spelling: BedrockJoiner1
- remove and re add the friend, then wait a minute
- restart Minecraft and check your internet connection
- make sure you are signed in to your Microsoft account
